What is Respite Care?

Respite Care is a short-term care option, providing both planned and unplanned respite breaks from a usual care giver. Individuals in need of short-term support are welcome to access respite care at Ridgeway Rise Care Home. This service provides a period for recuperation and assistance with daily activities, allowing caregivers a break from their responsibilities. Moreover, our respite care can be used as a 4-week trial period for individuals considering full-time care to assess the long-term fit.

Residents at Ridgeway Rise Care Home are provided with consistent levels of care and services, regardless of the duration of their stay. During their time here, they can enjoy the comfort of their own private bedroom, regular meals and refreshments, engagement in diverse activities and entertainment, access to our in-house facilities, and assistance with daily tasks. Additionally, nursing care may be provided based on individual care requirements.

The length of a respite care stay depends on the individual’s needs and the availability of respite care beds at Ridgeway Rise Care Home. However, we do have a minimum stay requirement in place to ensure that residents have sufficient time to settle in and reap the benefits of our services.
